Was interessiert dich in der Malerei? Was sind deine Intentionen, Ideen und aus welchen Quellen schöpfst du deine Bilder?



Mein Talent habe ich von meinem Vater vererbt bekommen. Er war selbst künstlerisch tätig und war voller Ideen.
Das Werk Frida Kahlos ist definitiv eine Inspiration für mich, auch ihre Persönlichkeit fasziniert mich.
Oft nehme ich mir Dinge, Gedanken, Themen, die mich beschäftigen zum Anlass, um diese malerisch zu bearbeiten.
Einige Arbeiten haben auch biografische Aspekte, fragen nach Identität oder sie sind selbstreferentiell, thematisieren Kunst und Malerei, was es bedeutet (heute) Bilder zu malen, welche Position ich als "Bildermalerin“ einnehme, behandeln Sinn und Unsinn und/oder die Relevanz von Kunst.

What interests you in painting? What are your intentions, ideas and from what sources do you draw your images?


I inherited my talent from my father. He was artistic himself and was full of ideas.
The work of Frida Kahlo is definitely an inspiration for me, also her personality fascinates me.
I often take things, thoughts, themes that occupy me as an occasion to work on them painterly.
Some works also have biographical aspects, ask about identity or they are self-referential, address art and painting, what it means (today) to paint pictures, what position I take as a "picture painter", treat sense and nonsense and / or the relevance of art.

was macht die Malerei so „unabdingbar - so „unaufhörlich"?

Ich sehe die malerische Auseinandersetzung als eine Form des eigenen Ausdrucks, so dass sich für mich die Frage des Aufhörens (mit der Malerei) nicht stellt.

What makes painting so "indispensable - so "incessant"?

I see the painterly examination as a form of my own expression, so that for me the question of stopping (with painting) does not arise.

Wie steht deine Arbeit im Kontext zur heutigen Malerei?

In Zeiten einer globalisierten und digitalisierten Welt, in der alles möglich ist und gleichzeitig zu sein scheint, bietet mir die Malerei einen „Ort", die für mich wichtigen Themen zu formulieren und auszudrücken.

How is your work related to painting today?

In times of a globalized and digitalized world, where everything is possible and seems to be at the same time, painting offers me a "place" to formulate and express the themes that are important to me.
